Weekly Coupon Quick Tip- Week of May 8, 2011

Know your stores policy!  My first few times out couponing, I left feeling like a complete failure!  I didn't know the stores coupon policy, so things ended up being more than what I thought they would be, I couldn't use all my coupons, or I couldn't use coupons at all.  The best way to combat this problem is to print out the store's policy and put it in your coupon binder or carry it with you.  I have found that sometimes even the cashier doesn't know their policy, so you can ever so gently educate them on what their rules are.  Below are coupon policies for my top stores:
Walgreens Coupon Policy
Rite Aid Coupon Policy
Target Coupon Policy
Safeway Coupon Policy
King Soopers/Kroger Coupon Policy
Albertsons Coupon Policy

Welcome to Feeding For Forty!

Welcome to Feeding For Forty!  We are a couple of Catholic moms who's goal is to feed our families for $40 per week (this will include incidentals like diapers and dog food!)  So far, we are right on track!  Through couponing and bargin hunting, we have found that buying groceries for our families can be rather expensive.  Couponing has opened the door to a whole new world!  Only at it for about a month, we have found great deals and have been able to get the food we need for about $40 per week.  While $40 is our goal, it doesn't have to be yours.  How about feeding YOUR family for $50, or $30 or even $20.  YES YOU CAN!

We are located in both the Denver Metro and the Detroit Metro areas, so many of our deals will be centralized to those locations, however, we will show as many national deals as possible.

As Catholic moms, we are dedicated to doing couponing in an ethical way. You won't find us buying 1200 boxes of toothpaste just because it's free.  We truly believe God gives us the gift of finding deals to better our family, so we will donate AT LEAST half of what we get a good deal on (and yes, still feed my family for $40).

This blog is meant to be a journey.  Feedback and suggestions either on our site or any deals YOU might find are welcomed and encouraged!
